The paper is thick enough that the ink doesn’t bleed through, which matters when you’re writing a long note. I picked this up for Mother’s Day and ended up using it for a few thank-yous too, it’s just nice to have a real place to put a thought down.

My mom teared up reading the birthday card I finally wrote by hand instead of texting, and this journal made me actually sit down and do it. The pages held the ink without smudging, so each card felt personal and clean. Already planning the anniversary one.

The cover feels sturdy enough to toss in a bag without worrying, and the pages have that nice weight that makes handwriting look deliberate. I’ve been using it to draft cards before I copy them out, which is exactly what I needed.
